The International Companies Builds and Improves Ingredient Facilities in Missouri
FENTON, MO – The International Companies announced today that its two companies have just
1) completed a total revamp of its Monett, MO, pet food ingredient plant, and
2) started producing custom ingredient mixes for dairy, food and beverages for people at its newly opened state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution center in Hazelwood, MO.
Headquartered in Fenton, The International Companies’ privately held companies include: International Food Products, a manufacturer and distributor for the human food, dairy and beverage industries, and International Ingredient Corp., a manufacturer of ingredients for animal feed and pet food.
At its new 227,000-square-foot facility in Hazelwood, International Food Products has just started distributing 400 core ingredients and manufacturing custom dairy ingredient blends and its own Dairy House brands.
Designed for the latest food quality and safety regulations, the new facility is expected to deliver more than 110 million pounds of products annually.
The facility also features dry blend rooms and liquid processing capabilities to complete custom ingredient formulations for dairy and beverage customers. With this new manufacturing and distribution center, International Food Products now distributes products from 11 facilities across the U.S.
In Monett, International Ingredient Corp. just completed a $1.5 million investment to revamp its plant to produce dried sweet potatoes for use in premium pet foods across the U.S. Nearly two years ago the company faced the tough decision of whether to close the plant because the cheese byproducts it needed to produce animal feed were no longer available in the region.
“We believe in our employees and in the Monett community, and we didn’t want to let them down,” said Clayton Brown, Chief Executive Officer of The International Companies, which owns International Ingredient Corp. “So we decided to make a big commitment to turn around what looked to be a bleak situation and invested in rebuilding the Monett plant.”
